For years we had been
looking for a piece of
property to raise and train
our show quality
Shetland
Sheepdogs and to purchase
and bring home alpacas and
llamas. Finally in October
of 2006 we found our dream
home on 10+ acres in
Ottsville, Pennsylvania, in
beautiful Bucks County. We
moved in during January of
2007 and began with an empty
slate consisting of the
house and mostly open
property. We excavated,
fenced, put up our small
barn and the kennel of our
dreams. Our fourteen dogs
moved in during March and
our two llamas and three
alpacas arrived shortly
after.
We would like to express our
appreciation to all of the
generous alpaca and llama
owners who have shared their
knowledge and time with us
and a special thank you to
Linda Berry Walker and her
son Brent Walker and to
Cindy Ruckman and the
McFarland’s Llama Farm
family for trusting us with
our first camelids and for
providing all the helpful
advice, mentoring, and
patience with the “newbie”.
